NOVA-FM is an IWM/CAFM System that offers all respective modules for technical, economic, and infrastructural facility management in hospitals. Here you will find all important modules for the requirements in hospitals as add-on to the Facility Management solution.

For decades, one of our core skills has been software development for Medical Technology. The special requirements in hospitals within the general facility management include equipment and medical device management, testing and measuring, and instructions to medical devices for hospital staff. All of these performance features are fully integrated in NOVA-FM for the entire Facility Management.

Testing and measuring is one of our specialties. All well-established testing systems are integrated in NOVA.

Equipment and Device Management

NOVA provides all features for a responsible and flexible device management. All information about a device is shown in a clearly-arranged tree structure. Any kind of facility can be allocated to any equipment or device. The heart of this module is device catalogues to manage devices according to requirements of medical technology. Here, you can organize all due dates for testing, maintenance, safety messages, and instructions for staff.

Testing and Measuring

The maintenance management of NOVA supports the planning, performance, and supervision of testing as well as maintenance activities and inspections for medical devices. All required due dates for testing can be assigned to each device for use internally or by service providers. You always have a good overview of terms and deadlines. We can provide EU test procedures. The following test systems are integrated: Bender, Gossen Metrawatt, Metlog, Rigel Medical und S.P.L. Elektronik .

Instructions to Medical Devices

NOVA provides for a clearly-arranged mask to record all training sessions and instructions for each person who uses medical devices on patients. You get a quick overview by a matrix that show, for example, a respective device and all persons who have or have not been instructed on this device. A completed instruction can be printed-out for signing. Signed PDFs can be assigned by drag and drop.

NOVA is an integrated application for all clients: Windows, web, mobile and offline client. That means that all entries/changes must be performed only once. The web client provides for almost all features as the Windows client.

Modifications can be made quickly and easily with the help of innovative features such as Mask Designer, Data Field Editor, Legend Editor, and Work Flow Manager. NOVA offers a modern report design that enables the automatic generation of professional reports, tables, graphics, and documents of any type of data. Generated reports can be exported as .xls or .pdf, sent via e-mail, or shown directly in a presentation mode. The interactive NOVA dashboard is a high-tech reporting tool for all kinds of reports. Critical processes and projects as well as ordinary data can be summarized in a clear and concrete manner. Of course, via real time data.

Interfaces to integrated Systems

HSD has many years of experience in developing interfaces to many important systems such as SAP, CAD, Outlook, hospital information systems, import and export interfaces, and many more.

Workflow Manager

The NOVA Workflow Manager supports the individualization of business processes. You can shape processes by graphics and link them with system functions. Work flows can then be carried-out in an event- or time-driven manner. Within the work flow, you can combine various kinds of process controls such as intersections and loops with internal or external functions and preconditions.

BIM Building Modeling Information

We develop tools to integrate Building Information Modeling (BIM) features in NOVA in order to support the generation and management of digital and physical representations of the functional characteristics of buildings.

IOT Internet of Things

NOVA supports IoT technology in various ways (dataset exchange via NOVA Web Api, data exchange by CSV data, and transmission by e-mail, including automatic import to NOVA). This ensures maximum security.

Blockchain

A couple of HSD people are specialized in blockchain systems. Using the NOVA Connector, information can be stored in a cloud and read out: IoT (internet of things) information or previous data from the blockchain. With the help of blockchain technology, the entire life-cycle of a building or installation can be documented in an audit-compliant manner and according to legal requirements.
